Albir:
Albir’s beach is pebble beach with a sand cove at the beginning of the beach. There are restaurants and bars a plenty along the boardwalk and separate bike and pedestrian pathways along the entire coast from Albir though Altea.
Bikes, hoverboards and the like can all be rented from local businesses.
Sunbeds, parasols and shaded areas can be rented as well as different kinds of water toys such as pedalos , kayaks, wakeboards, bananas and a try if you dare “”Wipe-out”” style water obstacle course.
Nearby businesses also offer jet ski and boat rentals.
There is also a small library with public washrooms and sometimes art classes.
Every morning at 8am there is Tai Chi by the central sculpture. 2 euros per class
Unfortunately, the beach has no special facilities for disabled people.
A nudist beach can be found on the left-hand side when taking the road towards the old lighthouse.
During summer season in the early evenings till late at night there is an artisan market and a night market.
Altea Beaches:
Some sand area and some pebble.
In the marina of Altea you can rent sailing boats. In order to take the boat out yourself you will need a valid “carnet de patron” or sailing license, but there are also captained touring and fishing boats for hire.
There are a number of great places to sit and enjoy the waterfront and a long and diverse boardwalk to enjoy. A tourist train makes a nice journey up to the Old Town from the waterfront or back.
There are lots of restaurants, bars, ice cream shops and cafes to choose from as well as nice shops.
Like Albir it hosts an evening market along the boardwalk in the Summer season.
Benidorm Beaches:
The busiest beaches in the area. The Levante is filled with tourists from the Benidorm hotels complexes and offers a towed waterski attraction as well as rental sunbeds and parasols. The Poniente is a mix of locals and visitors.
Villajoyosa Beach:
A bit further away, this beach is a local favorite.
